Join us as we EXPLORE the rock-solid foundation of God and see Jesus as our unmovable, unshakable, forever friend!
Participants will travel on the ultimate Alaskan adventure where northern lights glow over majestic mountains, racing rivers, and glistening glaciers. As kids trek the tundra, they will explore how easy it is to lose sight of what’s true. True North VBS will point kids to Jesus, a rock-solid, unmovable, unshakable friend in a world gone wild.

There is no cost to attend VBS; a suggested registration of $15 per child to help defray the cost can be turned in to the church office or the VBS registration table at any time. Payments can also be made with your online registration.
Please arrive 15 minutes early to your first session to pick up your child’s nametag and find his or her crew meeting area. Hosts will be available to help you find your way.
For safety reasons, we do require that you walk into the church with your child and bring them to his or her designated crew; you should pick them up from the same location at the end of the day’s session. The crew leader will have a sign-in and out sheet for you to initial.
Your child should wear comfortable clothes and shoes (preferably no flip-flops) and be ready to play. We will have activities outside unless there is rain.
A snack will be served each morning of VBS. We try to be mindful of allergies, but we cannot accommodate all areas of concern. Please take a look at the daily VBS Menu here. If your child needs an alternative snack, feel free to send a simple peanut free/tree nut free snack for your child to enjoy during snack time. Additionally, please personally inform your child’s crew leader if your child has any allergies (food, bee stings, etc.). This provides another layer of protection for your child.
CDs of the VBS music are available April-June for purchase at the VBS registration table for $7.

This Year’s Mission Project
SUPPORTING SCHOOLS IN CHAD, AFRICA
In the US, most of us take for granted the opportunity to receive a quality K-12 education. That isn’t the case for many people across the globe. That is why we are partnering with schools in Chad, Africa. The illiteracy rate among youth in Chad, Africa is around 70%, which is more than 2 million Chadian youth that do not know how to read or write. The rate is even higher for girls at 77%. (Stats from UNICEF.)
This year, our VBS Mission project will be working with Lutheran Brethren International Missions to support building projects in their partner schools. These schools are recognized by both the government and local community as providing a quality education. These schools are also infusing the gospel into the curriculum. Our first goal is to help College Marcos in Bokoro, Chad. College Marcos has children in 6th-12th grade representing a variety of local people groups, including our adopted people group, the Bilala. Three classrooms need a new roof, doors, and windows - costing $8,000. Any excess funds will go to bricks needed for a school in Ndjamena-Bousso with children in K-1.
It is our prayer that the children within the walls of these classrooms can grow both academically and in their understanding of the God who loves them.
You can give at either campus with cash or check, with an online giving option coming soon!
