70 Years…and counting.
70 years. That is a lot of years. A lot of years of ministry to the Fargo-Moorhead community. A lot of years of planning, working, sweating, and praying. A lot of years of God’s faithfulness. A lot of years of God showing us direction and leading us as we walked with him in that direction. 70 years; that is the number of years Triumph has been serving in Fargo-Moorhead.
Have you thought about our next 70 years? I don’t know if I’ve thought about 70 years, but I have thought about the next 5, and even 10. This past spring we asked the question, “What’s next, Lord?” This process began in the Spring and Triumph Leadership is continuing to pray and discern how Triumph can best approach the next 3-5 years of ministry and set the church in a healthy position for the 5-10 years after.
So, what is next? While we are still planning and praying through specifics, there are 3 initiatives that leadership is focused on in 2025:
Space at Triumph West The Triumph West building is well designed and has served us well for the past 15 years. However, we are continuing to run into space issues. There are some needs for our growing Children’s Ministry, a need for our Youth to have space, and a need for Adult Discipleship space. We are looking at ways to best address those needs in the footprint we currently have, as well as a possible expansion of the building.
Staffing and Ministry Structure It is our responsibility to look ahead to the next half decade and ensure we have the best staffing structure and ministry offerings to care for all those the Lord draws to Triumph. Are we overtaxing our staff? Should we be evaluating alternative systems and programs to minister to a changing community? These, along with several other questions, are being asked to set us up well for the years ahead.
Daycare Needs in our Community God has been so good to Triumph through our Little Lights program. For decades, Triumph has reached our community through this preschool. We are exploring whether our Little Lights offering should be expanded to include daycare. Right now, hundreds of families in our community are struggling to find care for their children. We don’t see that demand changing. As Triumph looks to connect our Little Lights program, which has a proven track record for reaching those outside of church, with the community need for quality childcare, we have a unique and tangible opportunity to share Jesus with young families.
This is what leadership is focused on for 2025.
Well...2025 is coming quickly! We have researched partnerships that will help us navigate the unique waters of each of these three initiatives, and we are ready to get started!

Triumph Forward is a year-end giving opportunity specifically focused to help kick-start each of these three initiatives. It is our desire to raise $150,000 through above and beyond giving to begin working on assessments and evaluations and engage with experts that will point us in the right direction and walk with us through these processes.
